What is a pre existing medical condition?

island travel insurance A pre existing medical condition is any past or current medical condition that has given rise to symptoms or for which any form of treatment or prescribed medication, medical consultation, investigation or follow up/check up has beeen required or received DURING THE LAST 2 YEARS prior to the commencement of cover under this policy and/or prior to any trip.

What should I do if I have or think I have a pre existing medical condition?

All you will need to do is contact our medical screening department on 0870 737 6306 where you can give details of your condition. These will be noted on your travel insurance policy and there may be an additional premium to cover the declared condition unless you opt to exclude claims arising from the condition from your cover.
