Travel Insurance for Arthritis

Arthritis is inflammation of the joints AND breakdown of the joint’s cartilage. As many as 10 million people in the UK have artritis affecting people of all ages. There are in fact over 200 types of artritis, (rheumatic diseases) and the most common forms of arthritis are osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis(RA).

Medical Screening for Arthritis

If you are arthritic we will need to determine the severity of your condition. When you get to section 4 in our booking process you will be asked a number of questions. These questions are really straightforward. You will then be given a quote for any additional premium (cost), to include arthritis travel insurance on your policy.

At this point you can accept the additional premium, which will then mean once you have paid you are covered for your arthritis. You can also decide to decline the additional cover at this point, which would mean that you will still be covered for standard medical cover, but would not be covered for anything related to arthritis.

* If your cover does not meet your requirements, please notify us within 14 days of receiving your policy schedule and if requested return all your documents for a refund of your premium. If during this 14 day period you have travelled, made a claim or intend to make a claim then we can recover all costs that you have used for those services. Please note that your cancellation rights are no longer valid after this initial 14 day period.
