Gap year Insurance is an ideal choice for all travelers not taking the package holiday route, from young students seeing the world for the first time to those aged less than 49 looking for fun and adventure. We offer policies covering Europe, Australia and New Zealand, World Wide or World Wide excluding USA and Canada.
Our gap year insurance policy is specially tailored to meet the requirements of travelers who may need cover for up to 18 months. Backpackers will appreciate the degree of cover that allows you to take part in as many as 42 sporting activities with no extra charge. The activities included in our standard long stay policy include camel and elephant riding, deep sea fishing, Parascending (over water ), Kayaking, bmx cycling and yachting.
If more extreme sports cover is required we can offer cover for activities such as water skiing, zorbing, jet skiing, white water rafting, scuba diving, hot air ballooning and abseiling.

Backpackers Travel Insurance with Sports Cover
If you are planning on the ultimate sporting experience you could also opt to include winter sports activities or our extended activities packs. Our Winter Sports option covers you for skiing and snowboarding on and off piste.
We also offer as standard, cover for "Back Home" visits, which is a great inclusion in our gap year insurance for anyone that needs to interrupt their travel plans and return home. Cover will be reinstated once your return journey has been resumed and you arrive back at your destination abroad.
Access to a medical emergency helpline 24 hours a day is included as are repatriation costs and cover for up to £3 million of medical expenses. Baggage is optional and can cover your personal belongings up to £750.
