Being a busy seaport and a tourist hotspot, Tampa's restaurants are world-class. The menu of cuisines includes Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Italian, French, Mexican, Cuban, Indian and many more. South Howard avenue in the Hyde Park district offers a great selection of cuisine with an abundance of restaurants. One noteworthy restaurant is the Spanish 'The Columbia', which not only has great food and service but live music.

The historic Ybor City is an area of Tampa that is home to the best bars, pubs, clubs and discos. There are some great Irish and British pubs with fantastic atmospheres as well as many smaller bars playing live music on a nightly basis. For some late night dancing head to Splash, one of the city's most popular nightclubs.

Transport Around Tampa

Tampa International Airport is just 15 miles from the downtown area and services flights from a host of American and Canadian cities. Amtrak train services offer connections to New York City and also Miami. Greyhound buses connect with most major cities and if driving, the Interstate-75 or I-4 lead directly into Tampa.
