2012 Snow Events

January 12th - 21st 2012 - Verbier Ride

A European level pro/am Slope Style event taking place on 21st January 2012 in one of Switzerland’s premier terrain parks a great venue for freestyle skiing and self expression on and off the mountain.

January 13th - 15th 2012 Lauberhorn Races, Wengen, Switzerland

This will be the 82nd time the race has taken place, this makes it the longest running of the FIS World Cup races. Takes place on the slopes of Lauberhorn, which is just above the Swiss resort of Wengen

February 2012 – World Cup FIS skiing in Bansko

Bansko is one of five resorts that have been selected to host two events the season. The other resorts Garmisch Partenkirschen (Germany), Val D’Isere (France), Lake Louise (Canada and Sochi (Russia).

12th and 13th February - European Cup for Slalom.

18th and 19th February - World Cup Mens Slalom and Giant Slalom

25th and 26th February - Womens World Cup Downhill and Giant Slalom

The facilities include - Ariels; Listel Ski Fantasia Ski Cross; The Centre Area of Snow Paradise Inawashiro Alfpipe and Alts Bandai

February 10th- 19th - The World Snowboarding Championships (WSC) - Oslo

The World Snowboarding Championships is run by snowboarders since and organised by Snowboard-VM 2012 AS, The Norwegian Snowboard Federation and Oslo Vinterpark. A freestyle event with halfpipe and slopestyle as its main formats.

March 18th - 25th - BRITS Winter Festival - Laax - Switzerland

A week long winter sports festival takes place for the 23rd year at Laax, encompassing music, food, skiing and snowboarding. All are welcome including novice skiers and snowboarders. Various competitions including the Trespass Snowboardcross and Skiercross Championships.
