About the Resort

The resort of Grindelwald is set either side of a road lying in a valley. The village has traditionaly styled chalet buildings set in magnificent scenery directly beneath the north face of the Elger. It holds an ice carving festival in January. There is quite a lot to do apart from skiing such as tobogganing and heli trips.

About the Mountains near Grindelwald

There is a mix of wooded and open slopes higher up. The area of slopes is shared with Wengen and are overall suited to the intermediate skier who would appreciate the gentle long reds and blues.
