About the Resort
Morzine is a traditional mountain town which looks charming when its chalets are covered in a blanket of snow. It is a good family resort. The centre is close to the river around the tourist office. Restaurants and bars line the street. The accommodation is scattered but a good multi route bus service covers the whole resort. This attractive resort is easy to reach from the Channel.
About the Mountains near Morzine
There are excellent areas for begginers and intermediates. The nursery slopes ae convenient and benefit from snow guns. There is plenty of off piste scope throughout the area and intermediates will enjoy the challenging red and black slopes down from Chamossiere although most runs for the average skier are rather short. There is a wide variety of cross country trails which are not all at valley level.
Après Ski at Morzine
There is a good choice of eateries some of which are excellent but also very expensive. This is one of the more livelier French resorts for apre ski with something for every one from a quiet drink to dancing on the tables and strip tease.
