France Ski Resort Guide for Montgenevre

Montgenevre Ski Resort Guide

About the Resort

This resort is set at one end of the big Milky Way network reaching over to Italy on a narrow roadside. The cheap and cheerful bars and restaurants make it a fun place to be and with good snowfall and friendly natives it is a good choice. The slopes are convenient and most of the accommodation is less than five minutes from a lift. The best way to travel to other resorts is by car and there is a free shuttle bus to the newer accommodation higher up.

About the Mountains near Montgenevre

There are limited slopes for the expert skiier. There is ample opportunity for off piste excursions and heli skiing on the Italian side. There is plenty of cruising terrain for intermediates who will enjoy the red runs although they are mostly short. There is a good selection of nursery slopes with reliable snow at the foot of the north facing area.

Après Ski at Montgenevre

There aren't many mountain restaurants and some choose to head for the Claviere sector for more choice. A small choice of bars and discos will not keep the party animal too interested.
