About the Resort

Courchevel is made up of four villages. 1850 is the largest and the focal point of the area. It has most of the smart shops and nightlife. 1650, is the calm and uncrowded reort but it isn't the most convenient base for visiting the other areas. 1550, this is a quiet dormitory which has the advantage of having the same position as 1850 but without the price tag. 1300 or Le Praz is an old village which is set amongst woodland and is very good for children.

About the Mountains near Courchevel

There are plenty of trees around the village most of the runs are open. There are plenty of runs to excite the expert skier with a lot of steep terrain on and off piste. This area is one of the best for intermediates. Those with average skills will be able to handle most of the red runs without too much difficulty. Beginners aren't left out as there are some excellent nursery slopes.

Après Ski at Courchevel

The best place for nightlife is 1850 which has a good smattering of exclusive nightclubs and bars.
