About the Resort

The resort of Solden is not a popular destination for the British. It attracts a lot of Dutch and German partygoers who enjoy the lively nightlife. It has an impressive lift system that links to glacier slopes. It is a sprawling Tirolean style village that has a bustling centre. It does have limited off slope activities.

About the Mountains near Solden

Almost all the slopes are above the trees. The two similar sized home sectors are linked by chair lifts out of the Rettenbachtel that separates them. The slopes are high adnnd north east facing with some snow making facilities. The black slopes are not too serious and there are quite a few red slopes. Beginners will find their slopes are not particularly conveniently situated and are prone to poor snow.

Après Ski at Solden

Some people would find the apres ski a little too hard to take. It tends to be drink fueld and rowdy. It has countless bars and places offering live music until the early hours. The mountain restaurants are often crowded but generaly offer good value for money and have a lively atmoshere.
