Insurance firm ACE has teamed up with RAC in the United Kingdom to offer a new range of travel coverage.

Reports said this week that the new products will be on offer under the RAC brand and will be available through European Breakdown specialists as well as online outlets, which are yet to be specified.

Underwriters overseeing the new partnership said that the RAC cover will offer a wide range of products spanning from basic policies to a fully comprehensive package, dubbed the Executive line.

The cover is said to be focused on European motorists and will include specialised add-ons for features and situations such as satellite navigation systems, carjacking, safety awareness kits and sports equipment.

Chris Price, European regional director for ACE, said in a statement that the two firms share a number of the same values and are looking to develop ideal products to meet the needs of customers. He added that the effort would deliver high-quality service “all of the time”.

Similarly, RAC’s commercial director Kerry Michael said that his organisation had chosen ACE over the competition due to firm’s extensive expertise in the travel market. He added that RAC is looking forward to offering “competitively priced” and “well constructed” products through the joint venture.
