Most of the UK’s most well known ski holiday companies have reported an upturn in early bookings for the 2009/10 ski season. The credit crunch was a big factor in a slow down in winter sport holidays last season. A return of confidence in the ski and winter ski activity holidays sector will coincide with an unexpected early snow fall in some of the world’s most popular resorts.

Some ski resorts including Saas Fe in Switzerland, have reported snowfalls of up to 20 inches with depths already reaching 3 feet on some higher slopes. Kitzbuhel in Austria recently re opened on the 24th October, the earliest is has managed to do so for as long as it has been open. The early snow fall will be a great bonus for skiers looking at booking an early winter escape.
