North American clients of Amadeus’ distribution and technology solutions, typically travel agencies, will now have access to a new system offered by the company, that of a database with global health and safety bases, aimed at giving travellers the most current available information before they take their trip and decide on travel insurance.

Amadeus has undertaken the task with HTH Worldwide databases, the first venture of its kind in the travel industry. Now, when a traveller purchases anything for their trip with a travel agent supported by the Amadeus system, they will have access to the health and safety databases of HTH, and can choose to receive health and safety alerts regarding their chosen destination via text messaging or other mobile alerts.

Chief executive officer of HTH Worldwide, Angelo Masciantonio says, 'For HTH Worldwide, this is a great opportunity to partner with a global travel technology leader to expand the distribution of HTH Mobile Health subscriptions via travel professionals in North America. Amadeus recognizes the importance of HTH's global health and safety information and how to best offer their agents seamless access to content that can add value.'
