About the Mountains near The Canyons

The area is almost the biggest mountain area in the US. It has a very modern lift system and few queues. It gets its name from the valleys between the eight mountains that make up this site. Five of the major lifts are quads which serve some short and disjointed runs. The average snowfall is 320 inches a year. Expert skiers are well catered for with steep terrain and double black diamond runs which plunge down through trees to an almost flat run out trail. Intermediates will find many sectors well groomed and manageable. Beginners have their own areas with enough areas to progress to.

Après Ski at The Canyons

The resort offers limited apres ski with a few bars and restaurants and some nightlife. There are few mountain restaurants and not much to do off the slopes.
