Stowe Ski Resort Guide

About the Resort

This New England town is a popular resort all year round. It has an attractive main street which is lined with shops and restaurants. It's hotels are of the three and four star variety but there are plenty of self catering condos available. There is a day time shuttle bus but as with many resorts in the US, it is a good idea to have access to a car.

About the Mountains near Stowe

There are three main sectors, one is approached by shuttle bus and the other two are linked . The main sector is dominated by the famous Front Four. This is a double-black diamond run much appreciated by the expert skier , when it's open. The intermediates will find the terrain slightly limited. Beginners have plenty of gentle slopes and green runs to try out.

Après Ski at Stowe

The mountain restaurants are adequate although limited. The apres ski is not of the dancing on tables variety, more of the stay in or visit the cinema type.
