Big Sky Ski Resort Guide

About the Resort

This is a resort for the serious skier and not really for the party animals. It has an extensive skiing area for most abilities and has a good smattering of expert runs. It is in Montana about one hours drive from Bozeman. At the foot of the resort village are three hotels, condos and shops.

About the Mountains near Big Sky

The slopes are spread over two linked mountains, providing long runs for all abilities with daily free mountain tours on offer. The slopes vary from the gentle to the tree lined to the big vertical slopes. Experts will find a good variety to ski on with an eye on the avalanche safety procedures. Intermediates are well catered for with plenty of cruising terrain. Beginners are also well catered for and there are options to graduate to.

Après Ski at Big Sky

The resort has a limited apres ski appeal with few restaurants and bars and only one mountain restaurant.
