Flims Ski Resort Guide
About the Resort
There are two parts to this resort - Waldhaus and Dorf. Waldhaus runs alongside trees whilst Dorf runs along a busy road. The village is spread out and this can mean long walks or bus rides although most of the hotels in Waldhaus run curtesy buses to and from the slopes. It is situated 90 minutes from Zurich airport.
About the Mountains near Flims
The resort has some extensive and varied slopes, exposed peaks and a small glacier. There are gondolas that transport you to the heart of the slopes from both Dorf and Murshteg an outpost of Laax which is a bus ride away. There is a lot of very good off piste to keep the expert happy. The intermediate will be well pleased with the easy snow sure blue runs and cruising availble. Beginners will find there are nursery areas in Dorf, Startgels and Nagens.

Lots of mountain restaurants and varied apres ski make this an interesting location if you are prepared to travel around to make the most of whats on offer.
