About the Resort
This friendly resort is formed by 13 villages. It isn't the smartest of resorts but is popular for it's good value and atmospheric old hotels and restaurants. There are few luxury hotels and a busy road running through the resort. The resort suffers from serious crowds during the French holidays but is said to be friendly and unpretentious.
About the Mountains near Serre Chevalier
There are many slopes to choose from but very few off slope diversions. The lifts on the upper mountain tend to be slow and old. They are split into different sections with plenty of open runs. It does have some of France's best bad weather terrain which are interesting and varied. Intermedaites as well as the expert skier will appreciate its slopes, beginners will find plenty of nursery areas.
Après Ski at Serre Chevalier
The nightlife is often quiet and revolves around bars scattered through the various villages. There are plenty of places to eat, some of them excellent with new restaurants opening recently.
