About the Resort

To make the most of the new ski area some people choose to stay near one of the cable car stations. On the Les Arcs side the resort is smal and mostly low rise modern developments. On the La Plagne side, many people think the Belle-Plagne is the msot attractive of the resort villages. The cable car ride from one resort to another takes less than five minutes. La Plagne consists of 10 separate villages, six of these are purpose built and vary in design and character.

About the Mountains near Paradski

In December 2003, the worlds largest cale car was opened. This meant that the area of Les Arcs and La Plagne now have claim to a joint ski area called Paradiski. It has over 260 miles of piste and 164 lifts. The majority of the slopes i La Plagne are above the tree line. Most of the runs are snow sure. The mountains restaurants are numerous and varied but do get crowded.

Les Arcs has a small amount of bars and restaurants and shops. La Plagne has a wide range of apres ski and caters very well for the younger skier, it does become fairly quiet during the low season. Excursions are limited but there is a bob-sleigh run which is popular in the evening.
