Canada Ski Resort Guide for Panorama

Panorama Ski Resort Guide

About the Resort of Panorama

This resort is purpose built and continues to grow. It lies above the lakeside town of Invermere in eastern BC. The accommodation is increasingly more slope side, condo based and concentrated in two car free areas. There is still a lot of accommodation in the lower village that suffers from a lack of atmosphere and is mostly family orientated. The village itself suffers from a lack of focus but does have an ice rink and a hot pool complex.

About the Mountains near Panorama

Almost all the terrain is wooded, it can suffer from weak snowfall and the upper slopes suffer from a lack of lifts. There are genuine black runs which are scattered all over the mountains. Some slopes are a challengin double black diamond with some slopes seriously steep. Intermediates will find lots to do if they are not of the nervous type! There are plenty of easy black runs with some blue runs to make the going a bit easier for new intermediates. Beginners will find a couple of nursery slopes with some easy greens to progress to.

Après Ski at Panorama

There are a few restaurants based in the resort with buses available to shuttle customers to Invermere for more options. There aren't any real mountain restaurants but there are a few huts selling basic refreshments. The apres ski is fairly lively for the size of the resort from afternoon tea to nightclubs and pubs.
