About the Resort
This resort is the most attractive in Andorra. It has the most interesting and varied slopes although it can be come quite crowded. It remains good value for money and has some impressive scenery. A gondola takes you from from the heart of Soldeu to the heart of the slopes at Espiolets and a wide bridge across the river forms the end of the piste home, elevators take you up to the gondola.
About the Mountains near Soldeu
The main local slopes are on open mountainsides above the woods. At the eastern end the slopes and lifts link with those of Pas de la Casa but there is no joint lift pass. The slopes are varied but crowded. There are extensive nursery slopes and a good ski school based in Espiolets - which is virtualy a mini resort. It is a limited are for experts that want to ski off piste but it does have potential in the bowl above Riba Escorxada which is the area where Soldeu meets Pas and also above El Forn.
Après Ski at Soldeu
A lively but family friendly resort that has some nice rustic restaurants. The mountain restaurants can be a bit over crowded and not too inspiring.The events are mainly rep organised and include pub crawls. It has an indoor ice rink and swimming pool. You could enjoy a spot of dog sledding or snow shoeing.
