Speedy check in to aid upper class travellers

A new facility designed to speed up upper class travellers using Virgin will mean a speedy check in that could see flyers reach the airlines lounge within 10 minutes of leaving their limo. The facility at Heathrow's terminal 3 should be open at the beginning of November and will be used by up to 600 passengers a day. The dedicated security channel will be reached via a drive through arrival area where a porter will take the luggage to a kerbside weighing area. It's on to a short walk to the security desk and then on to the lounge.

The facility will be open to Upper Class and Flying Club gold members. Those arriving using their own transport will be able to take a lift from the terminal to the dedicated channel.
