By September 2005, a total of 2,700 couples had chosen St Lucia as a wedding location, and this figure is expected to rise by 2006.

The Caribbean island is starting to realise its appeal as a dream wedding destination and has begun to cater for a range of tastes.

Couples can depart from a traditional church wedding and marry at the base of a waterfall, in botanical gardens, on the beach, or under a rainforest canopy.

Boasting sulphur springs, tropical rainforest and its own mountains, St Lucia is the ideal place to explore on a honeymoon, so you can get married and then do as much (or as little) as you want.
