The US state of Oregon is trying to attract visitors to the state through their stomachs.
Authorities are trying to promote the country as one that offers a culinary feast, and to compound this message they have produced a culinary travel guidebook.
The reference guide recommends to tourists the best places to eat, drink and generally be merry, as well as pointing out popular walks and trails.
When visiting any country, travel insurance is an important purchase to ensure that holidaymakers are protected while away.
In the event of accident, loss or theft, if items need to be replaced or medical bills are incurred, travel insurance should refund monies spent.
Oregon Culinary Escapes markets itself on the five senses needed to experience food, inviting tourists to 'come to their senses'.
Todd Davidson, Travel Oregon chief executive expressed his pride at the new guide and said he hoped it would bring tourists into the area.
'The guide will continue to set Oregon apart as a unique and memorable visitor destination,' he added.
