Situated in the beautiful state of Florida, Orlando is a major city offering much for the tourists that flock there to see and do. Since the early 1900s the city has grown to feature beautiful architecture, culture and entertainment including the famous Walt Disney World Resort. Orlando is well balanced with some great museums, restaurants, golf links and sporting entertainment.

Orlando is most famous for Walt Disney World, which offers days of family fun with a fabulous choice of rides, shows and entertainment. The city is also home to Sea World Orlando, Universal Orlando, Wet 'n Wild and Gatorland, which is the Alligator capital of the world. There are many great golf courses to enjoy including the Ginn Reunion Golf Resort that was designed by Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson.

For some interesting museums the Orlando Science Centre is an exciting hands-on learning experience perfect for children. The Orlando Museum of Art has many famous works from American artists and the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum will leave you astounded.

The city's downtown area has a host of great restaurants serving up international cuisines from Italian to Mexican and also American favourites such as BBQ ribs. There are also many comfortable bars with live music, from Jazz to Samba and Blues. If you feel like dancing the night away head towards the Thornton Park district and you can find a good choice of nightclubs and bars.

Transport Around Orlando

Orlando International Airport is host to many flights from all over America as well as destinations in Europe, South America, Mexico and Canada. Amtrak train services offer daily connections with most major cities as does the Greyhound bus company. Self-driving to Orlando is a great option with Interstate 4 connecting to other main routes through America.
