San Sebastian, also known as the 'Pearl of Cantabria', is an upscale seaside resort that offers visitors spectacular beaches, lush landscapes and awe-inspiring views. This modern and stylish metropolis has become a top tourist destination for jet-setter as well as families on holiday.

Hikers are in for a special treat as there are amazing hiking trails that lead to the statue of Christ while cyclists can tour the city on the convenient and scenic bike trails. Other museums include the Museum of Fine Art and the Bullfighting Museum (Museo Taurino).

Shoppers will be satisfied with the upmarket boutiques and designers stores with many popular high-end chain stores having found a home in San Sebastian. There is also an enclosed shopping mall in the city with all major stores represented.

The charming old quarter area has some of the most splendid examples of architecture and restored townhouses. The cobbled streets and remnants of the old city walls make this an area well worth seeing.
