Pretoria Tourist Attractions

For those interested in historical architecture, the splendid 1913 Union Building is a highlight. Constructed in an arc around the park, this was the venue where masses gathered during the 1994 inauguration of Nelson Mandela. Also steeped in historical significance is the Victorian-style Melrose House, where the peace treaty marking the end of the Boer War was signed.
