Travel Insurance Claims FAQs
- Is the emergency medical advice line open all the time?
Yes the Emergency Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Doctors and Nurses will be available to talk too. The emergency number is on your policy documents.
- What happens if I lose my passport ?
If your passport is lost or stolen outside the country of departure during a trip. we will pay up to £100 Standard/£250 Super/£200 Backpacker per insured person in the respect of reasonable additional travel and accommodation expenses you incur abroad to obtain a replacement passport. We do not cover the replacement cost of the passport itself.
- What should we do if we lost our money or credit cards?
Within 24 hours of the incident you must report any loss of money or cards to either the local police, your carrier, your hotel or accommodation manager, or the tour operator. You should call your Credit Card company immediately or we can do this for you on your behalf. You must produce to us written documentation from one of the parties listed above confirming that the loss or theft occurred during the trip with a crime reference number - otherwise no cliam will be paid.
