Europ Assistance was established in the 1960s and started operating in the UK in 1973. It is a leading underwriter of travel insurance services and provider of roadside assistance and domestic assistance in the UK and Ireland. Europ Assistance is owned by the Generali Group. Being backed by a strong and prestigious global insurer provides additional reassurance and security.

They are a global company with representation in over 200 countries worldwide with 5,000 staff, of these 400 are medical professionals and there are a total of 350 personnel in the UK.

In the UK, Europ Assistance handle on average a claim every two minutes, that's over a quarter of a million claims and assistance cases handled annually, totalling nearly two million inbound and outbound calls which means they make or take a call every 18 seconds.

Europ Assistance have two customer contact centres - one in Haywards Heath, West Sussex and the other in Navan, Ireland. These two centres are linked seamlessly in terms of technology and telephony to form in effect one virtual centre.
